If you were asked to name some stereotypes about Singapore, an obsession with money and status would likely be high up on the list.
As a resident, you are considered either upper or lower class. There is often no in-between.
But there are groups of people trying to challenge the notion that money rules, and who are trying to showcase and encourage more empathy and compassion, through selfless acts and good deeds.
