WA records six COVID deaths

Western Australia has recorded 17,105 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, with 13,039 cases in the Perth metropolitan area.

WA Health has confirmed six deaths dating back to May 16, including two women and a man in their 90s; a women in her 80s; a man in his 70s; and a woman in her 40s.

Currently, 300 cases have been admitted to hospital, and 10 cases are being treated in the ICU.

The South-West recorded 1,303 cases overnight, bringing the region’s active case total to 6,899.

The Wheatbelt has recorded 397 new cases overnight, bringing the region’s active total cases to 2,119.

The state’s total active cases is 88,781.
