World-renowned fashion and lifestyle publication Vogue has named Kings Park as one of the best parks in the world.

Kings Park has been included in the magazine’s list of ‘must-visit’ parks, alongside Central Park in New York, Hyde Park in London and the Summer Palace in Beijing.

Environment Minister Stephen Dawson says Kings Park and Botanical Gardens is one of WA’s most visited locations.

“I want to see people use and explore our beautiful parks here in Western Australia, so recognition that Kings Park is one of the world’s best public spaces is a step in the right direction,” he said.

The iconic Perth spot is one of the biggest in the world and is best known for its display of native wildflowers, landscape and commemoration of local heritage.

Kings Park is visited by about 5.5 million visitors annually, about 20 per cent of whom are international tourists.
