Lumsden Road in Wangara is open after a fire in some commercial buildings early this morning.

The fire started just after 5am near the intersection of Dellamarta Road and Lumsden Road.

It caused extensive damage to several commercial buildings but has since been extinguished.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said people and motorists should stay away from the area.
