Easter festivities around Perth

From Good Friday until Easter Monday, Perth has a new experience in store for each day of the Easter long weekend.

Enjoy dressing to the nines for fine dining with a view, or a more casual day in the heart of Fremantle amidst performers, to celebrate Easter 2019.

Good Friday race day

Where: Ascot Racecourse.

When: Friday, 19 April 2019. Gates will open at 12pm, with the first race starting at 1:05pm and the last race at 5:20pm.

Fancy a slightly fancier event with free entry and entertainment? There will be bars, live music and fun activities for kids. Book a table at the Flying Colours restaurant and enjoy a three-course meal or visit the Terrace restaurant for a buffet. For more casual food options, visit the various food trucks or buy a picnic hamper from Picnic at Ascot with reserved trackside seating.

Easter by the beach

Where: Straits Cafe, Rendezvous Hotel Perth, Scarborough.

When: 6:30am on 19 April until 11pm 22 April 2019.

Available for bookings all Easter long weekend, Straits Cafe is hosting a buffet breakfast for $35 per person. For lunch or dinner, you can book a three course meal for $69 per person including fresh seafood and Easter themed desserts.

Easter Wonderland 2019 – 19-20 April Rockingham

Where: Dixon Road Reserve, Rockingham

When: 19-20 April 2019, with day and evening sessions available.

The Winter Wonderland will have face painting, cuddly farm animals, a mini-golf course and rides including ferris wheels and a bungee trampoline. There will also be a special appearance from the Easter Bunny, armed with free Easter eggs.

Fremantle International Street Arts Festival 2019

Where: South Terrace/Market Street, Fremantle.

When: 19-22 April 2019.

The festival dates back to 1999 and has since then become one of Fremantle’s staple traditions. It runs all weekend long and showcases iconic performers ranging from comics to acrobats. Enjoy a range of pop-up bars and food options with something for the whole family.
