Three people have been charged after a police chase in a Perth’s eastern suburbs ended with a car smashing into a house yesterday afternoon.

The incident started about 2.15pm when police tried to stop a Holden Sedan carrying five people in Bayswater.

The car evaded police for a short time until it crashed into the front room of a home on Amazon Drive in Beechboro, causing damage to the house and major damage to the car.

One person fled the scene while the others were trapped in the car.

Two people were in the home at the time, but no one was injured.

The four people remaining in the car were taken to Royal Perth Hospital where they were charged with multiple offences.

The driver of the car has not yet been located.
