A 37-year-old Yangebup man has been charged with aggravated stalking of a 12-year-old girl in Butler.
The girl was allegedly walking along Lukin Drive between 3pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, February 28 when she became aware of a white Holden Commodore driving alongside her.
Police allege the male driver was filming her on his mobile phone.
The girl asked for help from a member of the public and the car was later seen in the carpark of a nearby shopping centre.
Joondalup detectives arrested the man after searching his car and finding two mobile phones.
Images in the man’s possession led to a search warrant being carried out in his home. A number of electronic storage devices were seized by police.
The devices are still being investigated.
