Trigg Beach death ‘not suspicious’

Police believe the death of a young man at Trigg Beach was not suspicious.

The body was discovered about 6.15 this morning on the beach in front of the Yelo café.

Dozens of police were at the scene, closing Bailey Street and part of West Coast Dve.

Officers searched the surrounding sand dunes for clues and the body was removed from the beach about 10.30am.

Residents of the beachfront houses were questioned by police, while officers scoured the coastline using jetskis and boats.

The Coronial Investigation Unit will now prepare a report for the coroner.
