The State Opposition has again criticised the Barnett Government for failing to deliver a train line to Ellenbrook.
Opposition Leader Mark McGowan said the building of the line had been a Coaliton election promise eight years ago.
“We’re standing here at the Perth train station, this was supposed to be where the Ellenbrook rail line connected into the Midland line and came into the city,” he said.
“Of course, where is it?
“The people of Morley and Ellenbrook have been let down on a major issue… they were promised a rail line by Mr Barnett at two elections.”
He also took the opportunity to highlight several other transport promises that had not been delivered, including the Max-Lite rail network and Yanchep rail.
Transport Minister Bill Marmion was unavailable for comment.
