Water Police divers are today searching the Swan River, near the Fremantle Traffic Bridge, as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Annabelle Chen.

Ms Chen, 57, was identified last week as the woman whose body was discovered in a suitcase in the Swan River in July.

Police confirmed her identity after conducting a search at a Mosman Park property last week.

Green ceramic tiles found inside the suitcase were also matched to tiles at another property owned by Ms Chen.

A scooter with a cutting board cable tied to its foot plate was found near the Fremantle Traffic Bridge shorlty after the suitcase was found.

Police believe it was used to transport the suitcase.

Divers are expected to complete their search by late morning.
