Detectives have released images of people who were seen near 70-year-old Valeria Fermendjin’s house on the morning of her murder.
Mrs Fermendjin was murdered in her Melville home some time between 7.30am and 8.30am on January 5.
Police have asked the people pictured to come forward and speak to them.
“It’s important to stress that these people were simply going about their daily business, however, we hope that any information that they have on what they saw on the morning may assist us in piecing together circumstances which led to Mrs Fermendjin’s death,” Major Crime Squad Det-Sen. Sgt. Chris Taylor said.
The images came from CCTV and dash camera footage recorded by members of the public.
In a statement, Mrs Fermendjin’s family urged anyone with any information to come forward.
“This was a cowardly act on a 70-year-old grandmother and it will be of some consolation to family and friends to see the killer caught,” the family said.
A $100,000 reward has been offered by police for information which leads to a conviction.
