The Census has caused some community frustration with lengthy phone delays and missing forms.
Some people have complained of waiting for more than an hour on the phone to access account numbers to fill in their eCensus form online.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics national media manager, David McHugh, says they weren’t prepared for the volume of calls.

South Perth resident, Essex Reid, says not only did she have a long wait to talk to an operator, but once she got through they gave little direction.
