Sports participation in Singapore has been on the rise in recent years with the National Sports Participation Survey (NSPS) revealing a 20 per cent increase in player numbers in the last decade.
One sport which has seen significant growth is female soccer, with player numbers increasing by 70 per cent.
The rise in female playing numbers indicates a shift in Singapore’s sporting culture, with more girls than ever before embracing the opportunity to play.
With more than 120 active female players the Hilderinc Football Club is the only beginner-friendly soccer organisation available to girls in Singapore.
The club is breaking down the stigmas surrounding female sport by embracing players of all skill levels and ages, providing support to girls who just want to the play the sport they love.
