WA records three more COVID-19 deaths

Western Australia has recorded 9,727 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, with 7,593 cases from the Perth metropolitan region.

WA Health has confirmed three historical deaths reported yesterday with one case dating back to March 27.

The three deaths include a man his 60s, a woman in her 40s and a woman in her 90s. 

There are now seven people in ICU and a total of 219 cases in hospital with COVID-19.

In the regions, the South-West recorded 485 new cases overnight bringing its total active case numbers to 2,140. 

The Pilbara’s 1,657 active cases included 284 new cases and the Kimberley recorded 349 new cases, bringing its total active cases to 1,295.

The state’s total active number of cases is 52,533.
