Transperth has issued a statement on its website this morning saying the Fremantle train line will be closed for the weekend.

The last train will leave Fremantle at 7.56pm on Friday, while the last train leaving Perth is scheduled for 7.30pm. The line will reopen for the first service on Monday morning.

The Perth Wildcats and Fremantle Dockers are playing major matches on Friday and Saturday respectively, causing concern for public transport users.
