A 31-year-old man has died after rolling his car during a police chase in Wundowie yesterday afternoon.
Officers were patrolling Great Eastern Highway when they spotted a blue Holden Utility allegedly travelling at 140 km/h in a 100km/h zone.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the man continued to drive at high speed, turning onto Chedaring Road. The vehicle then disappeared.
When police reached the crash, they provided emergency first aid to a man until paramedics arrived.
The man was unresponsive and unable to be revived.
A Major Crash Unit investigation is underway.
