A man is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today over alleged historical sexual assaults.
Derby detectives, with the assistance of Queensland police, successfully extradited the 77-year-old man from Charter Towers, Queensland.
The man allegedly sexually assaulted five boys aged eight to 17-years-old between 1975 and 1989.
He allegedly used his position as a school gardener and involvement in a local motocross club in the West Kimberley area to groom young boys.
He has previously been charged with 30 other sexual assault offences.
An ongoing police investigation is compiling a timeline of where the man has lived from 1975 until he was located in Queensland.
The man moved from Derby to Kununurra in early 1986 and mainly resided in caravan parks across Australia’s top end.
He was believed to have lived in Katherine in the Northern Territory for parts of 2010.
