Hundreds of people hit the ground running, or walking, this morning for the annual Oxfam Trailwalk fundraiser.
It was an early start for the walkers, setting off from Darlington at 7am, as they aimed to cover 100km of terrain and reach the Federation Gardens finish line tomorrow night.
A total of 450 teams are making tracks to raise money for people living in poverty.
The fundraiser kicked off with Aboriginal artist Richard Walley and dancers from Wesley College welcoming the event to Nyoongar Country.
Oxfam has been working globally since 1942 to find practical and innovative ways to help people out of poverty and rebuild livelihoods during crisis.
