Police have re-captured escapee Danny Jay Brooks in Perth’s southern suburbs.

The 38 year-old perth man was seen driving dangerously in the southern suburbs in a stolen 2009 white Toyota Camry.

Police followed him until he crashed into another car about 11.20am in Bibra Lake.

A police officer received suspected head and neck injuries when his car collided with Mr Brooks at the end of the chase.

A statewide search was issued for Mr Brooks after he escaped custody last night in Fremantle.

He now faces multiple charges, including escaping from lawful custody, robbery and aiding a person to escape from lawful custody.

A bedside hearing will be held tomorrow morning.
