Police today confirmed bones found last month about 5km from Carrabin are human
The remains were discovered by the side of Great Eastern Highway on 20 April by a person who had been involved in a car crash at the remote spot, about 300km east of Perth
They were taken for foresic testing by Major Crime Squad officers.
WA Police said they were trying to determine the identity of the person and the circumstances surrounding their death.
It is understood about 10 bones were found spread over a distance of about 70m. It was unclear whether they belonged to a man or woman.
