Each weekday, the cloisters of the University of Western Australia’s limestone and sandstone buildings are abuzz with students, tutors, researchers and professors, many on their way to or from a lecture or library.

A boulder outside the Geology building hints that as the rate of change accelerates in the human world, there are other, immutable forces of nature.
