When you think about freeways, your mind goes straight to cars, high speeds and endless roads.
But in Perth, the Kwinana Freeway has a twist; the train line to Mandurah runs right down the middle.
This presents a striking glimpse of the convenience public transport offers over cars in rush hour.
The train reaches speeds around 100 kilometres an hour, while near-stationary motorists are left to ponder the wisdom of their transport choice for the day.
