Canine shelter dogged by demand

Mandurah’s K9 rescue group has been flooded with abandoned dogs for the past few weeks and volunteers are struggling to keep up with demand.

The organisation takes in about 700 dogs annually from the Peel, Rockingham, Kwinana and Cockburn areas, and has asked pet owners to seek alternative methods to put their dogs up for adoption.
