Join Indymedia!

The Indymedia radio show on RTRFM is seeking expressions of interest in joining the weekly radio program.

Indymedia has been on RTRFM since 2004. Every week we interview 3-4 people on issues of social, environmental and economic justice. The radio show prides itself on professional and critical investigative journalism. Rather than relying on speaking to government or corporate mouthpieces, Indymedia attempts to speak directly to those involved in issues, from academics, trade unionists, environmentalists, indigenous activists, authors and many others.

We are currently seeking two additional members to produce content and present the weekly radio show. Indymedia is volunteer run with no paid employees, but the radio show provides a great opportunity for all presenters to increase experience and contribute to issues of social importance.

The desired applicant should have a passion for social, environmental and economic justice, with some knowledge on a range of political subjects and ideally some experience with radio. However, applicants with no radio experience will be considered and training will be provided by RTRFM.

If you are interested in joining Indymedia please send a short cover letter to by Friday, October 12, introducing yourself and outlining why you’d like to join the collective.
