Fremantle detectives want the mother of a newborn baby left out the front of a medical centre in Booragoon yesterday morning to come forward.

They say they’re concerned for her welfare.

The baby boy was found at around 8am in good health and was taken to the Perth Children’s Hospital.

Anyone with information about the identity of the mother is asked to call police on 131 444 or through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at http://www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Police say if the mother of the child does not wish to contact police, she can contact the Department of Communities on 9431 8800.
