More than 2,500 people are expected to attend a popular festival recognising Harmony Week in Bentley on Saturday.

The annual, free, family-friendly event will feature a showcase of food stalls, music and other entertainment representing the community’s diverse heritage.

Initiated by the State Government, the festival received $13,500 funding from the Multicultural Interests and the Department of Communities and will be coordinated by the Bentley Community Focus group for the seventh consecutive year.

Citizenship and Multicultural Interests Minister, Paul Papalia, says it is one of the most exciting community celebrations of Harmony Week.

“That this event keeps growing year after year is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the local groups who come together to share and showcase their vibrant and thriving community,” he said.

The Bentley Harmony Festival will run from 11am to 3pm at Bentley Primary School Oval on Hedley Way.
