The Greens say the Government’s public transport plan won’t ease Perth’s growing traffic congestion problems.

The transport scheme released last month sets out the vision for updating transport infrastructure over the next 21 years.

Recent Government predictions show Perth’s population will balloon to 2.5 million people during the same period.

Greens Member for Legislative Council LYNN MACLAREN says the plan is a start but won’t go far enough in reducing cars on our roads. (listen to audio)
